Get familiar with Corixa's main window and all its components. Learn how to navigate your content library efficiently.

Main Window Overview

Corixa's main window is divided into three main areas:

Capture the full main window with annotations/numbers pointing to: (1) Category Sidebar on left, (2) Item List in center, (3) Detail Panel on right, (4) Toolbar at top. Use annotation numbers or colored boxes to highlight each area.

1. Category Sidebar

Navigate between categories and access special views like All Items and Recently Added.

2. Item List

Browse items in the selected category. Supports multiple view modes and sorting options.

3. Detail Panel

View and edit details of the selected item including notes, metadata, and thumbnails.

4. Toolbar

Access search, view options, and quick actions from the toolbar.

Category Sidebar

The sidebar on the left displays all your categories and provides navigation options.

Sidebar Sections

  • All Items - View all saved content across categories
  • Recently Added - Items added in the last 7 days
  • Categories - Your custom categories
  • YouTube Playlists - Synced YouTube playlists (if connected)
  • YouTube Subscriptions - Your subscribed channels (if enabled)

Category Indicators

Indicator Meaning
Star icon Default category (new items go here)
Red play icon YouTube playlist category
Number badge Item count in category

Item List

The center panel displays items in the selected category.

List View Options

Use the view controls in the toolbar to customize how items are displayed:

View Mode Description
Standard Full item rows with thumbnails and metadata
Compact Condensed rows for more items on screen
Grid Thumbnail grid view (great for visual browsing)

Sorting Options

Click the sort button in the toolbar to sort items by:

  • Date Added - Newest or oldest first
  • Title - Alphabetical order
  • Priority - High priority items first
  • Source - Group by source domain

Item Row Components

Each item row displays:

  • Thumbnail - Preview image (if available)
  • Title - Item title or page title
  • Source - Website domain or "YouTube"
  • Author - Content creator (for videos)
  • Date - When the item was saved
  • Priority indicator - Colored dot for priority level

Detail Panel

The right panel shows full details of the selected item.

Detail Panel Sections

Header Section

  • Thumbnail - Large preview image with copy button
  • Title - Editable item title
  • URL - Click to open in browser

Metadata Section

  • Category - Dropdown to change category
  • Priority - Set High, Normal, or Low
  • Source - Origin of the content
  • Author - Content creator
  • Date Added - When you saved it

Notes Section

  • Notes field - Add your own notes and comments
  • Supports multi-line text
  • Auto-saves as you type

AI Summary (Optional)

  • Summary - AI-generated content summary
  • Transcript - For YouTube videos with transcripts
  • Click "Generate Summary" to create an AI summary

YouTube Video Details

YouTube videos show additional metadata:

Field Description
Duration Video length (e.g., "12:34")
View Count Number of views
Like Count Number of likes
Published Date When the video was uploaded
Channel YouTube channel name
Playlist Position Position in synced playlist

Toolbar

The toolbar provides quick access to common actions.

Toolbar Actions

Button Action
Search Filter items by title, notes, or URL
View Mode Toggle between Standard/Compact/Grid
Sort Change sorting order
New Note Create a new manual note
Refresh Refresh YouTube sync (if connected)

Menu Bar Drawer

Click the Corixa icon in the menu bar to access the quick-save drawer.

Capture the drawer panel that appears when clicking the menu bar icon. Show: browser save button, current page info, category selector, recent items list, and quick access buttons. The drawer should appear below the menu bar.

Drawer Features

  • Save Current Page - One-click save from active browser
  • Category Selector - Choose where to save
  • Recent Items - Quick access to recently saved content
  • Open Main Window - Expand to full application
Quick Access
Use Cmd + Shift + C to quickly open the drawer from anywhere, or configure a custom shortcut in Settings.

Context Menus

Right-click items and categories for additional options.

Item Context Menu

Right-click any item to access:

  • Open in Browser - Open the URL in your default browser
  • Copy URL - Copy link to clipboard
  • Move to Category - Change the item's category
  • Set Priority - Change priority level
  • Generate AI Summary - Create AI summary (if configured)
  • Delete - Remove the item

Category Context Menu

Right-click a category to access:

  • Edit Category - Change name, icon, or color
  • Set as Default - Make it the default for new items
  • Force Sync - Re-sync YouTube playlist (if applicable)
  • Delete Category - Remove category (with options for items)
