Get SafeRag SE from the Mac App Store and start using private AI in minutes.

Download from Mac App Store

Installing SafeRag SE takes just a few steps:

Open the Mac App Store

Click the App Store icon in your Dock, or open it from the Applications folder.

Search for "SafeRag SE"

Use the search bar in the top-left corner and type SafeRag SE.

Click Get / Install

Click the Get button, then Install. You may need to authenticate with your Apple Account.

Launch SafeRag SE

Once installed, open SafeRag SE from your Applications folder or Launchpad.

SafeRag SE is free to download. Optional in-app purchases are available for additional features.

SafeRag SE requires Apple Silicon. Intel-based Macs are not supported.

First Launch

When you open SafeRag SE for the first time, the app will create a local database to store your sessions and settings. You will then be presented with an onboarding wizard that guides you through selecting an AI provider, downloading a model, and optionally configuring encryption.

Updating SafeRag SE

The Mac App Store handles updates automatically. When a new version of SafeRag SE is available, it will be downloaded and installed in the background.

To update manually, open the App Store, go to Updates, and click Update next to SafeRag SE if an update is available.

Uninstalling

To uninstall SafeRag SE, drag it from the Applications folder to the Trash, or right-click the app and select Move to Trash.

Application data is stored in:

~/Library/Containers/io.corixa.SafeRagSE/
Data Persists After Uninstall
Uninstalling SafeRag SE removes the app but your data in the Containers folder persists until you manually delete it. If you want a clean removal, delete the folder above after uninstalling.
